As a club we take our responsibility to look after the safety of everyone in our club very seriously! Do find below information about our policies and practices to make sure this is the case.
Our England Hockey designated Welfare Officer is Adam Humphries - it's his role to support all areas of our club in promoting good safeguarding practice, to be the named point of contact for any safeguarding concerns and to make sure we're putting into practice England Hockey's key guide for clubs, '‘Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Hockey Policy & Procedures’
If you need to raise a concern with Adam you can contact him by email on welfare@jpchc.org.uk, if you're a club member you can also contact him using the messages function on the Pitch Hero Club app, or using his phone number in the Club Handbook (on the Downloads page of the website).
When applying for membership with the Club we all confirm that we will adhere to the England Hockey policies on: Safeguarding, Anti-Bullying and the ‘Respect’ Code of Ethics and Behaviour. All of these documents are on our club website under the ‘Information’ tab. Please do familiarise yourselves with the contents of the documents if you have not already done so. You will also see there that we have also adopted policies/guidance on Electronic Communication with Under 18s, Social Media and Photography. Finally, with a number of juniors now also playing league hockey a helpful document is the England Hockey Safeguarding Good Practice which is a very comprehensive document covering a range of match day situations including transport, changing rooms and communication. Again, please do familiarise yourselves with these documents
